Dentist: Hi, Jack! What brings you in today?
Patient: Hi. I’ve had a toothache for a few days.
Dentist: I’m sorry to hear that. Which tooth is bothering you?
Patient: It’s one of my back teeth on the lower left side.
Dentist: Does it hurt all the time, or only when you eat?
Patient: Mostly when I chew or drink something cold.
Dentist: I see. Let me take a look. Please open your mouth.
Patient: Okay.
Dentist: I can see a spot that might be a cavity. I’d like to take an X-ray.
