Paragraph 1 — Introduction（引言段）
Some people argue that schools should no longer teach traditional subjects such as history and geography because they have little value in today’s world. I disagree with this view because these subjects help students understand society and develop important thinking skills that are useful in everyday life.
Paragraph 2 — Body Paragraph 1（主体段一）
One important reason to continue teaching history and geography is that they help students understand the world around them. History teaches young people how societies have developed and how past events have influenced the present. For example, learning about major wars can help students understand why some countries have difficult relationships today. Similarly, geography explains how climate, natural resources and population growth affect people’s lives. Students who understand these issues are better prepared to follow international news and make informed decisions. Therefore, these subjects remain relevant even though the world has changed significantly.
Paragraph 3 — Body Paragraph 2（主体段二）
Another reason is that traditional subjects can develop skills that students will need in their future studies and careers. Learning history requires students to examine information, compare different accounts and decide whether sources are reliable. These abilities are especially important today because people receive large amounts of information through the internet and social media. Geography also teaches students to interpret maps, analyse data and understand connections between different events. For instance, students may use geographical information to examine the causes of floods or the effects of climate change. Such skills are useful in many professions, including business, education and environmental management. As a result, removing these subjects from schools could limit students’ opportunities to develop valuable abilities.

In conclusion, I disagree that schools should stop teaching history and geography. These subjects help students understand the modern world and develop useful thinking skills. Although schools should also teach modern technology and practical skills, traditional subjects should remain an important part of education.
