Paragraph 1 — Introduction（引言段）
Some people argue that students should spend less time doing homework and more time taking part in sports and other activities. I agree with this view because students need time to relax, stay healthy and develop skills outside the classroom.
Paragraph 2 — Body Paragraph 1（主体段一）
One important reason to reduce homework is that students need enough time to rest and stay healthy. After spending several hours at school, many students still have a large amount of homework to complete. As a result, they may have little time for physical exercise or relaxation. For example, students who spend most of their evenings studying may not get enough sleep or have time to play sports. This can affect their health and make it harder for them to concentrate in class. Therefore, reducing excessive homework can help students maintain a healthier balance between studying and other activities.
Paragraph 3 — Body Paragraph 2（主体段二）
Another reason is that activities outside the classroom can teach students useful life skills. Although academic subjects are important, students also need opportunities to communicate, cooperate and solve problems in real situations. For instance, playing team sports teaches young people how to work with others and deal with both success and failure. Similarly, joining a music club or taking part in community activities can help students become more confident and responsible. These experiences are valuable because they prepare students for challenges that cannot always be taught through textbooks. Schools should therefore encourage students to develop their interests beyond academic work.
