A Note in the Library Book

It is Monday afternoon. Ben goes to the school library after class. He loves reading stories about animals.

Ben finds a book about dogs and sits down to read it. When he opens the book, a small piece of paper falls out. There is a message on it.

The message says, “You are special. Don’t give up!”

Ben smiles. He is happy to read these kind words. He does not know who wrote the message, but it makes him feel good.

Ben wants to make someone else happy, too. He takes a piece of paper and writes a new message: “You can do great things. Believe in yourself!”

He puts the paper inside another library book and returns the book to the shelf.

The next day, a girl finds Ben’s message. She smiles and shows it to her friend.

A small message can make someone’s day better.
