An Overweight Bus
Driver: Hey, Mike. We’ve got a problem. I just got a ticket at the weigh station.
Manager: A ticket? What happened?
Driver: The officer directed me into the weigh station, and it turns out the bus is overweight.
Manager: Seriously? How much over the limit are we?
Driver: About 2,000 pounds. I had no idea we were carrying that much weight.
Manager: That’s a lot. Is the bus completely full?
Driver: Almost. And the luggage compartments are packed with bags.
Manager: Did they let you leave, or are you still at the weigh station?
Driver: I’m still here. The officer said we can’t leave until we reduce the weight.
Manager: Okay. Did he tell you exactly what needs to be done?
Driver: He said we need to get some of the weight off the bus before we can leave.
Manager: All right. I’ll send another bus to pick up some of the passengers and their luggage.
Driver: Sounds good. But what about the ticket? Am I going to have to pay for it?
Manager: Let’s deal with that later. Send me a picture of the ticket, and I’ll look into it.
Driver: Okay, I’ll send it now. Hopefully, we won’t be stuck here too long.
Manager: I’ll get another bus out there as soon as I can. Just keep me posted.

Driver: The officer directed me into the weigh station, and it turns out the bus is overweight.
