Drinking Enough Water

Water is essential for human life. A large part of the human body is made up of water, and almost every part of the body needs it to work properly. People lose water throughout the day when they breathe, sweat, and go to the bathroom. For this reason, they need to replace the water they lose by drinking enough fluids.

Drinking enough water has several health benefits. Water helps the body control its temperature, especially during exercise or hot weather. It also carries nutrients to different parts of the body and helps remove waste. In addition, drinking enough water can help people feel more energetic and perform everyday activities more comfortably.

Not drinking enough water can cause dehydration. Some common signs of mild dehydration include feeling thirsty, tired, or dizzy. People may also find it more difficult to concentrate. This can be a particular problem for students and workers who need to stay focused for long periods of time. More serious dehydration can lead to health problems and may require medical attention.

The amount of water a person needs is not exactly the same for everyone. It can depend on factors such as age, body size, physical activity, and weather. Someone who exercises for a long time or spends several hours outside on a hot day may need more water than someone who stays indoors. People can also get some water from food, particularly fruits and vegetables.

There are several simple ways to make drinking water a regular habit. Carrying a reusable water bottle can make water easily available throughout the day. People can also drink water with meals or after exercising. Those who often forget to drink can set reminders on their phones. Developing habits like these can make it easier to drink enough water each day.

However, people do not always need to choose plain water. Other drinks can also provide fluids, although some contain large amounts of sugar. For most people, water remains a simple and healthy choice. Paying attention to thirst and developing good drinking habits can help the body get the water it needs.

Listening

Reading

True / False / Not Given、Yes / No / Not Given、段落标题 Heading、信息配对、人物观点配对、选择题、句子填空、摘要填空等。

写作 Writing

Speaking

Level 1:General English Writing

Regular exercise is good for our health.

Regular exercise is good for our health because it can reduce stress and improve our physical fitness.

Although many people know that regular exercise is beneficial, they often fail to make it part of their daily routine.

Level 2:Pre-IELTS Writing

Public transportation is important. It is cheap. It is convenient. It can reduce traffic.

Public transportation plays an important role in reducing urban traffic congestion. When buses and rail systems are affordable and convenient, more commuters are willing to leave their cars at home. As a result, fewer private vehicles enter city centers during peak hours, which can significantly reduce traffic pressure.

Do you think children should do more exercise at school?

Should people use public transportation more often?

Is it better to live in a city or in the countryside?

Task 1 也可以从最简单的静态柱状图、饼图开始,让学生先掌握 increase、decrease、higher than、lower than、the highest、account for 等基本表达,而不是一开始就处理复杂动态图表。

Level 3:IELTS Writing

Opinion、Discussion、Advantages and Disadvantages、Problems and Solutions、Two-part Questions

Governments should protect the environment.

Governments should assume primary responsibility for environmental protection because they possess the legislative authority and financial resources required to regulate major polluting industries.

Individual consumers can reduce household waste, but they have little power to impose emission standards on factories or finance nationwide renewable-energy infrastructure.

Why Sleep Is Important

Sleep is an important part of a healthy life. Although people may sometimes think of sleep as a period when the body does nothing, the human body and brain remain active during the night. While we sleep, the body carries out many important processes that help us stay physically and mentally healthy.

One important function of sleep is helping the body recover. During sleep, the body repairs muscles and other tissues. This is especially important for people who exercise regularly or have physically demanding jobs. Getting enough sleep can also support the immune system, which helps the body fight illness.

Sleep is equally important for the brain. During the day, people receive a large amount of information from work, school, conversations, and other activities. While they are sleeping, the brain processes some of this information and helps form memories. For this reason, students may find it more difficult to remember what they have learned if they do not get enough sleep.

A lack of sleep can also affect a person’s mood and ability to concentrate. People who sleep poorly may feel tired, impatient, or stressed the next day. They may also have difficulty paying attention at school or work. This can make simple tasks more difficult and may increase the risk of making mistakes.

There are several ways to improve sleep. Going to bed and getting up at similar times each day can help the body develop a regular sleep schedule. It is also a good idea to create a quiet and comfortable sleeping environment. Bright lights and noise can make it harder to fall asleep.

Technology can also influence sleep. Many people use smartphones, tablets, or computers shortly before going to bed. The light from these screens may make it more difficult for some people to fall asleep. In addition, checking messages or watching videos can keep the brain active when it should be preparing for rest. For this reason, some experts recommend avoiding electronic devices for a period of time before bedtime.

The amount of sleep people need varies according to factors such as age and lifestyle. However, getting enough good-quality sleep is important for almost everyone. Developing healthy sleep habits may improve not only how people feel in the morning but also how well they function throughout the day.

Why Sleep Is Important

Sleep is an important part of a healthy life. Although people may sometimes think of sleep as a period when the body does nothing, the human body and brain remain active during the night. While we sleep, the body carries out many important processes that help us stay physically and mentally healthy.

1. Do the body and brain become inactive while we sleep?

No. They remain active during the night.

2. Why is sleep important for our health?

Because the body carries out many important processes while we sleep that help us stay physically and mentally healthy.

One important function of sleep is helping the body recover. During sleep, the body repairs muscles and other tissues. This is especially important for people who exercise regularly or have physically demanding jobs. Getting enough sleep can also support the immune system, which helps the body fight illness.

1. How does sleep help the body recover?

Sleep is equally important for the brain. During the day, people receive a large amount of information from work, school, conversations, and other activities. While they are sleeping, the brain processes some of this information and helps form memories. For this reason, students may find it more difficult to remember what they have learned if they do not get enough sleep.

1. What does the brain do with information while we sleep?

It processes some of the information and helps form memories.

2. Why may students have difficulty remembering what they have learned?

A lack of sleep can also affect a person’s mood and ability to concentrate. People who sleep poorly may feel tired, impatient, or stressed the next day. They may also have difficulty paying attention at school or work. This can make simple tasks more difficult and may increase the risk of making mistakes.

There are several ways to improve sleep. Going to bed and getting up at similar times each day can help the body develop a regular sleep schedule. It is also a good idea to create a quiet and comfortable sleeping environment. Bright lights and noise can make it harder to fall asleep.

1. How can people develop a regular sleep schedule?

The light from these screens may make it more difficult for some people to fall asleep. In addition, checking messages or watching videos can keep the brain active when it should be preparing for rest. For this reason, some experts recommend avoiding electronic devices for a period of time before bedtime.

1. Why can using electronic devices before bedtime make it harder to fall asleep?

Because the light from the screens can make it harder to fall asleep and using the devices can keep the brain active.

The Benefits of Walking

Walking is one of the simplest forms of exercise. It does not require expensive equipment, special training, or a gym membership. Most people can walk almost anywhere and at any time. For these reasons, health experts often recommend walking as an easy way to become more active.

Regular walking can provide several health benefits. First, it can make the heart stronger and improve blood circulation. It can also help people maintain a healthy weight. A person does not need to walk very fast to benefit from this activity. Even a 30-minute walk at a comfortable speed can be useful, especially when it is done regularly.

Walking can also have a positive effect on mental health. Many people find that taking a walk helps them relax after a stressful day. Spending time outdoors can also improve a person’s mood. Some people prefer to walk alone because it gives them time to think, while others enjoy walking with friends or family members. Walking with other people can make exercise more enjoyable and provide an opportunity to talk.

Another advantage of walking is that it can easily become part of a person’s daily routine. Instead of driving a short distance, people can walk to a nearby store. Office workers can take the stairs instead of the elevator or go for a short walk during their lunch break. Small changes like these can increase the amount of physical activity people get each day.

However, starting a new exercise routine can sometimes be difficult. People who are not used to exercising should begin slowly. They can start with short walks and gradually increase the distance and speed. Comfortable shoes are also important, especially for longer walks. During hot weather, walkers should drink enough water and avoid exercising during the hottest part of the day.

Walking alone cannot solve every health problem, but it is a simple way for many people to become more active. The most important thing is to make it a regular habit. A short walk every day may be more beneficial than a long walk that happens only once a month.

No. Even a 30-minute walk at a comfortable speed can be beneficial if it is done regularly.

Level 1

NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS

例如本文中的 maintain a healthy weight → control their weight、people who are not used to exercising → people who are new to exercise。
