对话
The English Conversation Group
Jack: Hey Amy!
Amy: Hey Jack! How’s your English Conversation Group going?
Jack: It’s going really well! We had about fifteen people last night.
Amy: That’s great! Who comes to your group?
Jack: People from everywhere — China, Brazil, Mexico, Japan… some are students, some are workers, and a few are new immigrants.
Amy: Cool! Do they speak English well?
Jack: Not really. Most of them are beginners. They understand some English, but speaking is hard for them.
Amy: So what do you do in the English Conversation Group?
Jack: We play games, ask simple questions, and practice small talk.
Amy: Like what kind of questions?
Jack: Things like “What’s your name?”, “Where are you from?”, “What do you like to eat?”, and “What do you do on weekends?”
Amy: That sounds fun and useful!
Jack: Yeah! I just want to help them feel more confident.
Amy: That’s awesome. I’m sure they really appreciate your help.
Jack: Thanks, Amy. I enjoy it too. It feels good to help people learn.
