Employee: I’ve noticed that several major assignments have consistently been given to the same people, and I’m concerned that others aren’t getting a fair opportunity to contribute.
Manager: I understand your concern, although those decisions were largely based on previous experience and project requirements.
Employee: That makes sense to some extent. My concern, though, is that without opportunities to take on more responsibility, it’s difficult for other team members to gain that experience in the first place.
Manager: That’s a fair point. Perhaps we need to reconsider how we allocate projects and develop people’s skills.
Employee: I’d welcome that. I think a more transparent process would help everyone understand how those decisions are made.
